Overview
Every season your club is automatically entered into a League within one of the divisions of the Global League. The current league system has only five division levels, with Division Level 5 being the highest division and Division Level 1 being the lowest. Every division is made up of a dynamic number of leagues. When you promote from your league you promote to a new league in the division level above. Your club will begin its journey in a league in Division Level 1.
Leagues
There are 12 teams per league, who play each other home and away over the course of a 28 day season, so 22 league games in total. Once these fixtures are completed, the four teams in the league that have earned the most league points enter into a play-off to see which team is crowned league champion.
A club earns four league points for a league win and two league points for a draw. In addition, a club can earn a bonus league points from a match. A club earns a Losing bonus point (BL) if they lose a match by seven points of fewer. A club earns a Try bonus point (BT) if they score three more tries than their opponent in a match.
Divisional Club Level Minimums and Maximums (Pre-2024.1)
Each division in the global league has a minimum and maximum Club Level (CL). To compete in a league in a division your club’s CL must not be higher or lower than these divisional CL limits. If you club’s CL rises above the maximum allowed in that division, then at the end of the season your club will automatically be promoted up into the division above.

Promotion (Pre 2024.1)
To gain promotion to a higher division your club must raise its CL above the maximum for your current division. If you do this then at the end of a season, your club will automatically promote up a division in the new season. Raising your club's CL is done through playing competitive matches (league and cup) and finishing positions in league and cup for that season - see wiki entry on Club Level for more detail
Promotion (Season 2024.1+)
In addition to reaching the next division level through your club level, you can now also promote by winning the league.
Note that promotion will not take place if the division above doesn't have any clubs, until there are at least 20 clubs eligible to promote.
League Rewards
Competing in the league will provide a number of rewards. Every time you win a league match you gain a reward bag, that can contain a variety of rewards. In addition, you will receive an end of season reward for your final finishing position in the league which will impact next season's budget.
