Overview
Club level (CL) is a measure of how strong your club is, or should be, within the game. All clubs start at Level 1, and cannot rise above the current Global Level Cap (GLC) of 30. The CL determines what division your club will play in, the maximum upgrade level of your club's buildings, and your club's base budget. CL also determines the club’s CPL (Club Player Level) which plays an important role in player training speeds (see Club Player Level for more details on CPL).

Each CL is made up of 1000 XP. Over time, your club will gain XP towards the next CL.

CL and Max Building Level
One of the most important functions of CL is to determine to what level you can upgrade your buildings to — the higher the CL, the higher the building level possible. The maximum building level is determined by your club’s current CL:
- CL 1-6 = Upgrade Cap Level 8
- CL 7-12 = Upgrade Cap Level 10
- CL 13-18 = Upgrade Cap Level 12
- CL 19-24 = Upgrade Cap Level 14
- CL 25+ = Upgrade Cap Level 20
CL and Divisional Promotion
Your club’s CL determines your club's promotion to a higher division. Every division in the league has a maximum CL and if your club rises above this CL, then your club will automatically promote at the end of the season to the next highest division.
